Andrew moved to the UK from Australia in 2002. He had a variety of jobs over here including becoming a paramedic before landing a PCV driver position here at AMK in 2007. By chance an Operations Assistant position became available at AMK and Andrew siezed the opportunity. It wasnt long before we realised his potential, rising to Operations Manager, Operations Director then eventually Managing Director when the position became available in 2019. Having worked up through the ranks, Andrew understands the importance of every role at AMK and provides a vital link between our Operations team and our Customers, despite this he will still volunteer himself to drive a school run when needs must.
In the bustling office environment, teamwork is at the core of our operations. Izzie, Nina, and Norma (with 27 years service) handle the day-to-day enquiries and daily scheduling, ensuring seamless coordination between customers, drivers, and vehicles, all in pursuit of delivering superb customer service.
Vivienne, with 16 years of service excels in Private Hire, arranging every detail with the customer. Her expertise ensures that our customers can book with confidence, knowing their travel experiences are in capable hands.
Nicola is responsible for HR, licensing and payroll. With 415 employees, this is not an easy task but with her meticulous approach she ensures each of her responsibilities are executed to a high standard.
At AMK we conduct our vehicle maintenance in-house, George and Theo plan the workload for our team of skilled professionals to carry out in our modern workshop facilities.
Ray and Steve have a long history of HGV Bus mechanics between them and work predominantly on our coaches, whereas our other technicians, Warren, Connor & Dan (the apprentice), work primarily on our minibus fleet.
As well as the above we also have Mully, who is part of the fixtures and fittings at AMK. Nobody knows when he started but he has always been here. He knows absolutely everything about the workshop side of AMK and is always around to fit seats, fix tail lifts, change tyres and do absolutely anything else you ask from him. Also workshop based we have Jack who fits tyres and carrys out general workshop maintenance.
The unwavering commitment and hard work of our mechanics ensures we can keep our fleet on the road and reinforces our stringent safety and maintenance standards.
When it comes to the most critical aspect of your journey, these guys take centre stage. Each one has unique talents, and we strive to help them reach their full potential. For instance, when a minibus driver(car licensed) expresses an interest in gaining their PCV license we will actively support, train and fund this on their behalf.
